2009, in segments 140 characters or less:
It was an intense year, but not all bad. Sometimes I get blocked by looking at the big picture, when the beauty is in the details. I’ve got a lot to be grateful for. With this perspective, I am brave enough to make the following resolutions…
- Live healthy – mind, body, and soul. I got off to a good start last year by starting an exercise plan, becoming mindful of my eating, and reducing distractions. I just need to maintain the momentum and stay focused.
- Get my act together. I got Unclutter Your Life in One Week for Christmas, and I’m devoting January to organizing and decluttering the house. It might mean less time with my beloved television programming, but I need a peaceful space to for my mental health. (SEE #1)
- Finish pending home improvements. This doesn’t mean we’ll live in luxury by the end of the year, just reduce the appearance that we live in post-apocalyptic dystopia. At the very least, we need to finish painting. This is on hold until I get #2 rolling – it’s an obvious prerequisite.
- Simplifiy everything not directly related to items 1-3.
